Under the direction of the Head Men’s Basketball Coach, the Director of Basketball Operations will provide support and assistance with all aspects of the men’s basketball program. The Director will oversee all team travel, video exchange, social media, and technology. The Director will also oversee the student managers and assist with management of uniforms and equipment as well as assist the coaching staff with recruiting. The incumbent is required to abide by the rules and regulations established by Furman University, the Conference, and the NCAA. Furman University is a member of the NCAA at the Division I level.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree.

Extensive knowledge of all conference and NCAA policies, rules, and regulations and adhere to these policies as they pertain to the duties and responsibilities of the job.

Ability to work effectively with college student athletes, athletic staff, University personnel and Alumni.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Independent judgment is necessary to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload with attention to detail.

Time management skills and the ability to multitask are essential to successful performance of this position.
