Wilkes University invites applicants for Assistant Men’s Basketball/Director Intramural Program, a full-time, 12-month administrative staff position in the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.

The successful candidate is responsible for assisting the head coach in all facets of the men’s basketball program with particular emphasis on recruiting, monitoring academic progress, individual skill development, and overall program operation. As the Director of Intramurals the candidate will plan and organize campus activities in a recreational setting throughout the academic year. The Director of Intramurals is responsible to schedule team, individual and league competition and hire, train and supervise student program aids. This individual is expected to be actively involved in community service activities and alumni events. Additional responsibilities in the department of intercollegiate athletics will be assigned.

A Bachelor’s degree is required, Master’s degree preferred.  The ideal candidate must have significant knowledge of coaching men’s basketball preferably at the collegiate level. Candidates with experience in directing or supervising recreational activities are preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA and conference rules is required. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience
