Truett McConnell University (Cleveland, Ga.) seeks qualified candidates for the full-time, salaried position of Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach. The successful candidate should demonstrate a consistent love for Christ, an active church relationship, and a daily walk with the Lord. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

Job duties include but are not limited to assisting head coach with all aspects of coaching mens basketball; collaborating with head coach on practice plan and implementation; assisting in monitoring academic progress of student-athletes; managing progress reports and study halls; assisting in scheduling and coordinating weekly team bible studies; coordinating team community service projects; and helping supervise fundraising endeavors. The Assistant Mens Basketball Coach is also responsible for actively recruiting players to attend Truett McConnell University by attending showcases, high school games, and youth basketball tournaments; communicating with recruits and coaches via telephone, email, and social media; coordinating on-campus tours and workouts for recruits; creating and tracking strength training programs and conditioning workouts; helping prepare the court for practice and games; preparing video and written scouting reports using Synergy; and assisting the Head Coach with other tasks as needed.
