Duties and Responsibilities:

• This position will assist the head basketball coach by coordinating recruiting efforts, scouting for game preparation, player development, and possible other duties assigned by the Head Coach

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• One year of collegiate basketball coaching experience OR
One of the following:
– Two years of high school basketball coaching experience
– Four years of collegiate basketball playing experience
• Proven leadership in the successful fulfillment of sport responsibilities including the following: basketball coaching skills, recruiting, and strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated commitment to providing a championship experience for student-athletes on and off the field.
• Ability to work as a team member, be self-directed, and be willing to serve as good-will ambassador for Western Oregon University, and be of good moral character
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree
• NCAA Division I or II collegiate coaching experience
