According to multiple reports, University of Detroit head basketball coach Bacari Alexander has been suspended for multiple games. The university would not comment specifically on the situation, but did say through a release that “per university official protocol, Detroit Mercy does not provide public comment on internal personnel issues.”
Alexander has not coached the team for the past three games, and there is no timetable for his return.
This is Alexander’s second season as the head coach at Detroit. The former Michigan assistant and Detroit alum went 8-22 last season.
