HoopDirt.com has learned that Young Harris College head basketball coach Pete Herrmann will resign. A 5:00pm press conference has been scheduled to make the announcement.

Herrmann, a coaching veteran, was the head coach at Navy (1986-1992), where he coached future NBA Hall of Famer David Robinson. Herrmann also served as an assistant at Kansas State, Virginia, Western Kentucky and Georgia (where he also served as the interim head coach). He was hired as the head coach at YHC back in 2010, and helped lead the school as they transitioned to DII. He will wrap up his tenure at the school with a 114-102 record.
