The Saint Vincent Athletic Department announced that Mark Bollinger has joined the Bearcat men’s basketball staff for the 2019-20 season as assistant coach.
The Edison, Ohio native comes to the Bearcats with extensive Division III coaching experience and success. Bollinger served as an assistant coach at Ohio Wesleyan University for six seasons, with one year stints as an assistant at Bluffton University and as the head coach at Piedmont College.
He has coached in three NCAA Division III National Tournaments and has worked with four All-Americans, that earned three conference Player of the Year awards. Overall, he has coached 19 All-Conference Selections and two Academic All-Americans.
Bollinger is also a veteran of the summer camp circuit – working on the camp staff at Duke, Kentucky, Ohio State, Ohio State Perimeter Player Specialty Camp, Notre Dame, and Cincinnati.
While at Ohio Wesleyan, the program received an NCAA Community Service Award.
Bollinger has worked under two coaches, Mike DeWitt (Ohio Wesleyan) and Guy Neal (Bluffton), who have each won over 350 games in their storied Division III coaching careers.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Toledo and a Master’s degree from The Ohio State University.

The administration, alumni, and community have a tremendous passion and great expectations for the basketball program and for bettering the lives of young adults.”
Bollinger is the founder of the Elite Basketball Academy, a skill development program for individual and small group curriculum based on the skill set(s) and needs of the participants. He also directed and coached the Central Ohio Clash travel basketball program the last five years. For the last two years, he operated Self Scout, a self-scouting service for college and high school programs to help coaches evaluate their players and overall program.
