Under the direct supervision of the Head Men’s Basketball Coach, the Coordinator of Basketball Operations provides administrative support to the Men’s Basketball program. Responsible for all aspects of team travel, including transportation, hotel, meals, practice facilities, per diem expenditures, etc. Acts as a liaison between men’s basketball and other Athletic administrative areas. Supervises volunteers and student managers.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work cooperatively with coaches, staff, faculty, students, and members of the community. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds and project a professional attitude. Knowledge of NCAA policies and procedures. Knowledge of NCAA Division I men’s basketball operations. Ability to learn the tape exchange program. Knowledge of PC computer operations and Excel, Word and PowerPoint software. Ability to exercise mature judgment and discretion under intense pressure and short time-lines.

Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student, and assist in achieving the university’s commitment to a “vision of excellence.”
