I can confirm through multiple sources that Northwestern State assistant coach Bill Lewit will become an assistant at Tennessee Martin. Lewit had spent the past seven seasons on Mike McConathy’s staff.

Before coming to NSU, Lewitt served as the associate head coach at the University of New Orleans for two seasons. Prior to that, he had a ton of success as the head coach at NJCAA Cecil College (MD), where his team won the 2005-06 National Championship. During his time at Cecil, he was selected conference and region Coach of the Year a combined 15 times.

An official announcement is expected this week.
