Hurd Named Assistant Basketball Coach at Pratt CC

Andy Hurd has joined the Pratt Community College men’s basketball coaching staff for the upcoming 2018-19 season. He has most recently served as an assistant coach at Trinity College (Hartford, CT).

Hurd finished up his playing career for Trinity College in 2015-16.  He was a captain and starting point guard during his senior season and helped lead the Bantams to two NCAA Tournament appearances, including the team’s Elite Eight run in 2015, after transferring to Trinity from Division I Central Connecticut State University prior to his junior season.  Hurd graduated from Trinity in December of 2016, after spending the 2016 fall semester studying abroad in Rome, with a bachelor’s degree in economics.

The Windsor, Conn. native also has experience as a skill development trainer and AAU coach in Hartford, CT. He has worked at numerous camps over the last eight years, including the Howie Dickenman basketball school, the Trinity College basketball camp and the Micah Lancaster “I’m Possible” training basketball camp.
