- Texas A&M head coach head coach Billy Kennedy is obviously not happy that Boston College canceled their game due to rain on Saturday. - New Mexico head coach Paul Weir has issued an apology for a pre-game fight that took place between some of his players and New Mexico State players before their game last week. Weir said, ”I am extremely disappointed at the pregame events and want to apologize to not only everyone at The University of New Mexico but also New Mexico State University. Our actions are a direct reflection of me and my lack of ability to communicate to our players the importance of sportsmanlike behavior. At no point has anyone in our program ever been encouraged to behave in that fashion and much like the outcome of the game itself, I am embarrassed. - Rollins College (FL) head coach Tom Klusman tallied the 700th win of his career. The 39-year veteran is the 43rd coach in men’s college basketball to reach the milestone and just the 16th to do it all and one school. He ranks fifth among active Division II coaches in total wins and is ninth all-time.
- Gustavus Adolphus College (MN) Head Men’s Basketball Coach Mark Hanson earned his 500th career victory last week. Now in his 29th season at the helm, Hanson becomes the 16th active NCAA Division III men’s basketball coach to reach the milestone with a record of 500-267.
