Lackawanna College Head Basketball Coach, Landon Gabriel, has announced the addition of Kirk Fallon as Assistant Coach for the Falcons’ program. Fallon comes to Lackawanna after spending the past two years as the head girls’ varsity basketball coach at Susquehanna High School, where he achieved the two best seasons in school history. In 2018-2019, his team reached the quarterfinals, before losing to the #1 team in the state, 47-42. In Fallon’s two-year stint at Susquehanna, his team won back to back Division 4 regular season championships and 47 straight league games.
Prior to coaching at Susquehanna, Fallon spent four years as an assistant basketball coach at Keystone College, where he was involved in all aspects of the program. Fallon assisted in practice and game planning, recruiting, film study, academic monitoring, and organizing team trips. During his tenure, he coached multiple Colonial State Athletic Conference First and Second Team All-Conference players and he assisted the team in reaching playoffs during the 2017-18 season.
After playing one year at King’s College, Fallon played three seasons at Marywood University, where he helped lead the Pacers to their third ever playoff appearance, in the 2010-2011. After graduating from Marywood, he immediately began his coaching career at Forest City Regional as the JV Head Coach and Assistant Varsity Coach.
“Coach Fallon has experience at the college level, recently spending a handful of seasons as the assistant with Keystone College’s Men’s Basketball team. Because of that, I value him as a coach and a recruiter”, said Head Coach Landon Gabriel. “Also, his last two seasons as a head high school coach, he experienced great success. He has been deep in the state tournament, has won league, district, and sub-regional championships, and has coached high character players. I am confident and excited that he will bring these positive experiences to our program at Lackawanna College”.
