Max Johansen will take on his new role as the Cardinal Stritch University men’s basketball assistant coach after serving as an assistant coach on a volunteer basis in the 2019-2020 season.
“We are pleased that Max will be part of our staff here at Cardinal Stritch,” Head men’s basketball coach Anthony Houston said. “Max’s organizational skills and basketball knowledge will not only help me with recruiting and preparing for games, but more importantly, he will help the players grow as individuals and as athletes.”
Johansen enters his first official season as the assistant coach for the Wolves in their shortened 2020-2021 men’s basketball season. In the short time serving as a volunteer assistant coach, Johansen made significant contributions towards supporting the coaching staff with providing scouting reports, recruiting assistance, and player development sessions with his student-athletes.
When asked about his new role as the men’s basketball assistant coach, Johansen said, “I am extremely excited to be a part of the Stritch community and the athletic department. I want to thank Dan and Coach Houston for believing and trusting in me to help get Cardinal Stritch basketball back to competing for championships. I am eager to begin the season and look forward to the years to come for the Stritch men’s basketball program.”
The Cardinal Stritch community would like to extend congratulations to Max Johansen on his new position.
