Xavier head coach Travis Steele touches on some interesting points surrounding scheduling as well as the upcoming NCAA Tournament in a Cincinnati Enquirer article. Xavier currently has seven active postponements, and according to Steele, “we definitely won’t be able to make them all up. We’re open to playing other games even if that’s non-conference at this point. If we can fit it in, we’ll do it.” He then goes on to say, “it’s gotta make sense from a numbers standpoint. We’re not playing anybody that’s gonna hurt our numbers. You can play some team that’s ranked 300 in the NET, even if you beat them by 20 it’s going to kill your numbers. We’re not doing that. It has to be a game that makes sense for Xavier.” More HERE.
