According to multiple reports, including one from Jon Rothstein, Oklahoma head basketball coach Lon Kruger will retire. He is expected to meet with his team later today.
Kruger has been at Oklahoma for the past ten seasons. He has spent 35 total seasons as a D1 head coach. Kruger has led his teams to two Final Four’s (1994 + 2016)and has captured two SEC Coach of the Year awards (1992, 1994), the MWC Coach of the Year award (2008), and the Big 12 Coach of the Year award (2014).
