A few things that I’ve heard…

Radford has a 2pm press conference scheduled for today to announce their new head coach. The choice here is Florida assistant Darris Nichols. He has been on the Florida staff since 2015, and has also worked at Louisiana Tech, Wofford, and Northern Kentucky. He will become the second UF assistant to become a head coach this off season, joining Jordan Mincy (Jacksonville). You can watch the presser live HERE.

The search at Central Michigan is winding down. Names that I’ve heard here include Southern Utah head coach Todd Simon, Michigan assistant Saddi Washington, and Missouri assistant Cornell Mann. This one could be wrapped up by the end of the week.

Jermaine Kimbrough, who had been on Porter Moser’s staff at Loyola Chicago, has become an assistant at Arizona State. Kimbrough had been at Loyola since 2019, and was an assistant at Wyoming before that.

It sounds like Andre Morgan will join Wes Miller in Cincinnati. Morgan has been an assistant at Middle Tennessee State since 2018, and had worked for Miller at UNCG before that.

Early reports of new DePaul head coach Tony Stubblefield retaining assistant Tim Anderson have proven to be untrue. Anderson will move on, and not be a part of the new regime at DePaul. The Chicago native had been on the Blue Demons staff for the past four seasons.

Jim Ferry is almost done assembling his staff at UMBC – I think I have most of it. Will work to confirm and run with it by the end of the week.
