Fairleigh Dickinson University and men’s basketball head coach Greg Herenda announced Thursday that Brandon Hallwill join the Knights as an assistant coach beginning with the 2021-22 season.

Hall comes to the Burgundy and Blue following a three-year stint at Seton Hall (BIG EAST) as a graduate assistant coach with their men’s basketball program.

Following the announcement, Herenda remarked, “We are very excited about adding Brandon Hall to our staff. Brandon brings a great variety of experience to our program and I am confident that he will be able to make an immediate impact on our student-athletes and the entire Fairleigh Dickinson community.”

An accomplished player and coach, Hall arrives “on the Hackensack” having led Colonia High School to a 17-10 record as head coach during the 2017-18 season which included an appearance in the Greater Middlesex Conference (GMC) Tournament Final and a trip to the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) North 2, Group III Tournament semifinal after his team upset top-seeded Rahwah in the quarterfinal.

On the hardwood as a student-athlete, Hall was a four-year letterwinner at Saint Peter’s University and was named a team captain his senior year. He helped the Peacocks win the 2011 MAAC Tournament championship to earn an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament, which remains the last time that Saint Peter’s reached the “Big Dance.” Hall graduated with a 1.76 assist/turnover ratio and during his senior season he was ninth in the country in steal percentage, according to KenPom, at 4.91.
