Description:

Assist the head coach with various aspects of the men’s basketball program including but not limited to: recruiting for Varsity & Developmental (JV) programs, practices and individual workouts, player development, scouting reports, film breakdown, academic monitoring of student-athletes, social media, developing and running camps/clinics/training academy, and other duties as assigned.

If qualified, this coach may be appointed to coach the Developmental team, run practices, individual workouts, schedule games, organize travel and budgeting, monitor academics, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required. Must also be accepted into a master’s program at Converse University. Ability to work a flexible and irregular schedule (nights, weekends, holidays, etc.).

Preferred: Strong basketball background; Prior high school or college basketball playing or coaching experience; Valid driver’s license; Strong leadership and organizational skills; Excellent oral and written communication skills; Computer literacy.

Upon Hiring: Candidate, when hired, must successfully complete all required NCAA compliance tests and certifications and comply with all NCAA, Conference Carolinas, and Converse University rules and regulations. Candidate must also successfully complete First- Aid/CPR & AED certification before the beginning of the competitive season.
