Belhaven University, a Christ–centered university located in Jackson, MS, is receiving applications for
the position of Assistant Coach for Men’s Basketball. The successful candidate chosen for this full–
time position will work directly under the supervision of the Head Men’s Basketball Coach to further
develop a successful, competitive NCAA Division III program, grounded in discipleship and mentoring.
Belhaven is an NCAA Division III institution sponsoring seventeen sports programs and holding
conference membership in the American Southwest Conference (ASC).

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: The Assistant Coach for Men’s Basketball is directly accountable to the
Head Coach for Men’s Basketball in all aspects of the program, including (but not limited to):
recruitment of great–fit student–athletes, on–floor coaching, opponent scouting, film break–down,
program operations, modeling biblical spiritual leadership and direction for student–athletes,
mentoring student–athletes in their academic performance to ensure timely progress toward degree
completion and graduation, assisting with budget management, data organization, camps, and
functioning within NCAA and ASC rules and regulations.
