Southern Arkansas University Men’s Basketball is looking to hire a graduate assistant. SAU is a member of NCAA Division II and of the Great American Conference. The University is located in Magnolia, AR.

Bachelor’s Degree is required. Final qualification will be pending on acceptance in to Southern Arkansas University’s graduate studies.

Responsibilities will include assisting the coaching staff with all areas of the men’s basketball program including: general operations, travel planning, weight training, skills training, academic monitoring, film management, recruiting, opponent scouting, coaching in practice as well as games, and other duties related to the sport of basketball and its operations as assigned by the head or assistant coach.

Candidates must have these attributes and experiences to be considered: self-motivated, driven to succeed, relentless work ethic, integrity, strong communication skills, organizational skills, basic technology skills, sound basketball knowledge, able to recognize and evaluate basketball talent, knowledge of weight training techniques and implementations, and proven commitment to empower and support student athletes to succeed on and off the court. Some previous coaching experience and/or college basketball playing experience is preferred. Experience using Synergy Sports Tech is preferred.
