Here are a few things that I’ve heard to start the week.

Drake University graduate manager Brandon Stromer will be hired at DIII Simpson College as the top assistant. Stromer was a member of the Winona State squad that won the 2006 DII National Championship.

Quincy Lewis, the boy’s basketball coach at Lone Peak HS (Highland, UT) has turned down the top assistant spot at BYU-Hawaii. Many had thought this was a done deal. Lewis had played for BYU-Hawaii head coach Ken Wagner at Dixie State.

Franklin Pierce is going to hire Matt Adams as an assistant. Adams was an assistant at Rutgers-Newark last season, and also worked at Keene State College.

According to two sources within the NEC, Central Connecticut head coach Howie Dickenman is considering former Penn head coach Glen Miller for a position on his staff. The two were assistants together at UConn from 1986-1993.
