I’ve heard from a reliable source that BC’s Al Skinner is interviewing with St. John’s today. Skinner in a New York native and played for the Nets. He was involved with the job the last time it opened up as well. He was granted permission by BC AD Gene DeFilippo to speak with St. John’s after the Red Storm were turned down by both Billy Donovan (Florida) and Paul Hewitt (Georgia Tech). If it doesn’t work out with Skinner, look for St. John’s to turn their attention to URI’s Jim Baron (who currently has his Rams in the NIT Final Four).
