Coach Blake Mellinger recently added Drew Absher to his coaching staff. The new assistant served as team captain for the Virginia Military Institute Keydets as a senior in 2013-14.

During Absher’s collegiate career at VMI, the Keydets won the All-Military Classic and made the Final Four of the CIT in 2014. A four year letterman, the Keydets averaged over 17 wins per season during his career.

Absher has worked various camps where he has provided instruction to players of all ages and skill levels.

The Mocksville, North Carolina native earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from VMI in 2014. He currently lives in Wise.
