Brad Rogers has been hired as an assistant at Arizona Christian University. Rogers spent the previous three seasons on the basketball staff at William Jessup University (CA).
During his time as an assistant at William Jessup, Rogers helped guide the Warriors to their first ever California Pacific Conference championship and a trip to the 2009-10 NAIA II National Tournament. Rogers’ duties included recruiting, scouting, film exchange, player development and other day to day duties, as well as coaching the junior varsity team.
Prior to William Jessup, Rogers spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Sierra Community College (CA), where the Wolverines made one Northern California play-off appearance. Rogers has also worked a number of basketball camps and clinics across the country, as well as running his own. He also is involved in personal basketball training where he focuses on improving players’ offensive skill development.
Coach Rogers is no stranger to Arizona Christian’s new conference, the Golden State Athletics Conference (GSAC), having playing two seasons (2002-04) for San Diego Christian College in El Cajon, Calif., after transferring from Monterey Peninsula Community College.
Brad served as team captain and earned NAIA All-America second team honors for the team that won the 2003-04 NCCAA Division I National Tournament championship. He led San Diego Christian College and ranked third in the GSAC in scoring, averaging 18 points per game and led the GSAC with 125 three-point field goals and shot at 44% during his senior year. Rogers made 214 three-point field goals during his two-year GSAC career.
