It sounds like they are down to three in the search at Alaska-Fairbanks. According to sources close to the situation, the finalists are:

Tim Moser – Head Women’s Coach Alaska-Anchorage. He is 108-20 in his four seasons at UAA including Final Four appearances in 2008 and 2009.

Craig Stanger – Former Head Coach Western Oregon. Was 69-95 in six seasons at Western Oregon. Is familiar with the league (GNAC) as WOU and UAF are both members. This is something important to the committee.

Mick Durham – Assistant Coach New Mexico State. Was the head coach at Montana State from 1990-2006 (246-213).

It sounds like Moser was the choice, but may have already turned it down leading the committee to move to plan B. I’ll keep you updated as this develops.
