Armstrong Atlantic State University has announced its three finalists for their vacant head coach position. They are Jeremy Luther, Mike Jones, Jim Boone. All are expected to visit campus this week.

Jeremy Luther has the least amount of experience of the finalists. He just finished up his second year as the head coach at Newberry College and led them to a 21-8 record this season. Prior to Newberry he was an assistant at Mercer University for six seasons.

Mike Jones, has a ton of DI experience but no head coaching experience. He spent 5 seasons on Dennis Felton’s staff at UGA and also made stops at West Virginia, Richmond, Furman, and his alma mater, Howard.

Jim Boone, is the most experienced of the finalists. He has 383 career wins and 23 years of college coaching experience. Boone is currently the head coach at Tusculum College. This past season he guided Tusculum to the NCAA Southeast Regional. Prior to Tusculum he was the head coach at California (Pa.) for 10 seasons were he led them to two final fours.
