A few things that I picked up while on the phone yesterday…..

Cornell assistant Woody Kampmann will be joining Steve Donahue’s staff at Boston College as the Director of Basketball Operations. He had been at Cornell for the past three seasons. Also, Cornell’s third assistant Kevin App will apparently not be joining the staff at BC.

Citadel assistant Doug Novak is going to join Ed Conroy at Tulane. He is no longer a candidate to take over at The Citadel. He has been with Conroy for the past four seasons.

Oregon assistant Kenny Payne has been rumored as a replacement for Rod Stickland at Kentucky. Not sure this will happen though – Payne will wait it out to see who is hired at Oregon first.

Rumor has it that Oliver Purnell will only bring one of his assistants with him from Clemson. It sounds like he may retain at least two of the current DePaul assistants – all of whom have Chicago ties.
