Auburn Associate Head Coach John Cooper will be the next head coach at Tennessee State. A press conference has been scheduled for tomorrow. Cooper has spent the past 5 season on Jeff Lebo’s staff at Auburn. He has also worked at Oregon and South Carolina. The Kansas City, Mo., native led Wichita State in scoring and rebounding during both his junior and senior seasons, averaging 20.8 points as a senior and 17.0 points as a junior. He was a team captain his final two seasons and a Rhodes Scholar candidate. He replace Cy Alexander who was relieved of his duties in February.
