Assistants added at Binghamton
New Binghamton head men’s basketball coach Tommy Dempsey has added Lazarus Sims and Ben Luber to his coaching staff, the University announced Monday. Sims, a former point guard at Syracuse, has served as SU’s coordinator of player development since 2007. Luber, a former Penn State standout, coached the last two seasons with Dempsey at Rider.
Mississippi Valley State finalists
The three finalists to replace Sean Woods at Mississippi Valley State are: Interim head coach Chico Potts, Arkansas Pine-Bluff head coach George Ivory and Tougaloo College assistant Harvey Wardell. MVSU conducted phone interviews with the candidates Thursday and will release the name of the new head coach early next week.
