Two quick rumors from the New England area: New Boston College assistant John Gallagher is at the top of the short list at Hartford. Wake Forest staff
New Wake head coach Jeff Bdzelik has begun the process of hiring his staff. From what I’ve heard, he’s not taking anyone from his previous staff at Colorado with him. Current Wake assistants Jeff Battle and Rusty LaRue are expected to be retained. Also, Georgia operations coordinator Mark Pope is expected to join the staff.
UWGB finalists
Wisconsin-Green Bay has narrowed the field to four finalists for it’s men’s basketball job. Athletic director Ken Bothof has finished the interview process, and will meet with the chancellor and search committee as early as today to discuss who will be offered the job. A few things that I picked up while on the phone yesterday….. Cornell assistant Woody Kampmann will be joining Steve Donahue’s staff at Boston College as the Director of Basketball Operations.
