Baltimore City CC names new Head Men’s Basketball Coach

Baltimore City Community College has named Jarrod Randall as their new Head Men’s Basketball Coach.

Coach Randall is very familiar with BCCC as he is a Baltimore native who remembers playing games as a youth at BCCC’s PE Center. Coach Randall attended Baltimore’s St. Francis Academy where he played on the 2005 Baltimore Catholic League Championship team. From St. Francis Coach Randall attended and played for NCAA Division I University of Maryland Eastern Shore. After his playing days, Coach Randall started his coaching career at Friends School of Baltimore. He would later coach the American Basketball Association (ABA) Baltimore Hawks and the Maryland JUCO rival Hartford Community College, winning regional championships two years in a row which lead to appearances in the NJCAA National Championships in Hutchinson, Kansas. For Coach Randall ” this is a chance to come home and give back and I cant wait to get started”.

One of the advantages of having a home grown talent now coaching at BCCC is “he knows where the talent is and has the connections already built-in” according to Dr. Pope, Director of Athletics. “Coach Randall will bring an understanding of the talent base and mindset of our students because he is Baltimore. That advantage will bring the best of Baltimore to BCCC and get us back to the national championships in Kansas”.
