Kind of a long silly title for this blog, but it helps with Google (or at least our IT guy tells us so!)

Here are a bunch of things that I picked up during the end of the first July recruiting period….

From what I am hearing, UW-Superior Head Coach Dave Buchanan has been offered the job at Carroll University and is leaning towards accepting it. Look for assistant coach Logan Flora to be the front runner to take over for Buchanan at UW-S. He has been on the staff for two seasons – before that, he was the Director of Operations at UW-Green Bay and also spent time as an assistant to Don Meyer at Northern State.

Northwest Florida assistant Will Jones looks to be joining the staff at Charleston Southern. Expect the official announcement sometime this week.

Wagner assistant coach Assistant John Pugliese is leaving to accept a prep school job. He will be named Head Coach at the Brentwood School in Los Angeles.

Colorado Head Coach Jeff Bzdelik said he had an “unexpected” meeting with Timberwolves general manager David Kahn at a summer league game last week about the T-Wolves vacant head job. Don’t read too much into this though. Our sources tell us that Bzdelik called his players after the "meeting" to inform them that he remains committed to Colorado.

The search committee at West Florida is meeting for the final time this morning. Here’s an interesting article with some of the answers that four finalists gave during the community meetings…
