Former UNLV and Loyola Marymount head coach Bill Bayno has been hired as an assistant with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Bayno has also worked as a college assistant under current University of Kentucky Head Coach John Calipari at Massachusetts from 1988-95; Larry Brown at Kansas in 1986-87; and P.J. Carlesimo at Seton Hall in 1985-86. He had spent the previous five seasons as an assistant with the Portland Trailblazers.
