John Beilein will remain as the head basketball coach at Michigan according to a tweet that he sent earlier today. Multiple reports confirmed that Beilein had met at least twice with the Detroit Pistons over the past few weeks to discuss their vacant head coach position. Beilein’s tweet read:

I love the University of Michigan and I am excited about coaching our Men’s Basketball Team next season and in the years to come ! Let’s go hang some more banners at “THE GREATEST UNIVERSITY IN THE WORLD” #GoBlue

The remaining reported candidates are; former Raptors head coach Dwayne Casey, former Nets and Bucks coach Jason Kidd, NBA Analyst Kenny Smith, Heat assistant Juwan Howard, Raptors assistant Nick Nurse, and Spurs assistant Ime Udoka.
