College of Charleston alum Ben Korren (’16) has been named Assistant Director of Men’s Basketball Operations as announced by head coach Earl Grant.
“Ben has showed a great commitment to our basketball program over the past two years,” Grant said. “He has demonstrated tremendous work ethic and loyalty. We are really excited that he will assist in the daily operations as we continue to move our program forward.”
Korren, a former four-year student manager for the program, will oversee student managers, assist with scouting reports and film preparation, create recruiting and motivational videos and assist with scheduling.
“I’m excited to be afforded the opportunity to learn from and work with one of the best coaching staffs in the country as well as continue to be around the tough-minded culture that exists in the Charleston locker room,” Korren said.
Originally from Bedford, N.Y., Korren earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from The College and was a two-year varsity starter in basketball at Fox Lane High School. He currently resides in Charleston and is an avid fan of the New York Mets.
