Ben McCollum has been named as the head basketball coach at Drake. No official press release yet, but the Drake basketball X account tweeted the following:

McCollum has spent the past 15 seasons as the head coach at D2 Northwest Missouri, where he compiled a career record of 394-91 (241-63 MIAA)

During his tenure with the Bearcats, McCollum captured four national championships – 2017, 2019, 2021, and 2022. This past season his team went 29-5 (20-2) and over the past 6 season, he has averaged 2.6 losses/season.
