I have now heard from multiple sources that former Kentucky head coach Billy Gillispie is in line to become the head coach at Ranger JC (TX). Gillispie, who has also been the head coach at UTEP, Texas A&M, and Texas Tech, has not coached since 2012. He played at Ranger JC from 1978-1980 before graduating from Southwest Texas State. In eight seasons as a DI head coach, Gillispie compiled a 148-108 record – his best run was at Texas A&M where he went 70-26 in three years.
