Blair added to UW-Platteville staff

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville head men’s basketball coach Jeff Gard has announced the hiring of Kelly Blair as assistant coach for the Pioneers.

"Kelly has come highly recommended to me by people I respect in the business," said Gard. "He is a tremendous young man with a lot of passion and energy and is a real team player who will fit in very well with Pioneer assistant coaches John (Pugliese) and Rob (Stallion). We’re excited to have Kelly as a part of the Pioneer family."

Blair comes to UW-Platteville after spending last season as an assistant at Hiram College, where is duties included all the film breakdown, academic support, strength and conditioning and the head coach of the junior varsity team. Prior to coaching the Terriers, he had a two-year stint (2011-13) at Case Western Reserve University.

Blair earned his Bachelor of Business Management from John Carroll University in 2011.
