UConn Associate Head Coach George Blaney will assume the duties of head coach as Jim Calhoun serves a three game suspension beginning tonight. Blaney will coach the Huskies vs. at South Florida tonight, at home vs. St. John’s on 12/31, and at Seton Hall on 1/3. Blaney has 459 wins as a head coach with stops at Holy Cross, Seton Hall and Dartmouth. He has been on Jim Calhoun’s staff for the past ten seasons.
