Beau Braden, who was a member of the 2011-12 Morehead State men’s basketball staff, has been promoted to a full-time assistant coach by new Head Coach Sean Woods.
Braden spent one semester last season as the director of operations and the other as a graduate assistant manager. He coordinated several administrative duties and all video operations during a season which saw the Eagles win 18 games and finish third in the Ohio Valley Conference.
Braden spent the 2010-11 season as an assistant coach at St. Catharine College (Ky.), where he focused on recruiting, scouting, individual instruction and academics. He helped the Patriots to a 24-9 record, NAIA national tournament appearance and three victories over the eventual national champion Pikeville (Ky.).
Braden spent the 2009-10 campaign as a graduate assistant and the junior varsity head coach at Georgetown College (Ky.), where he specialized in game preparation, individual instruction and film exchange. He helped the Tigers to a 27-6 record, Mid-South Conference Tournament title and NAIA national tournament appearance.
