Randolph-Macon men’s basketball coach Josh Merkel has announced that former Babson College standout Bradley Jacks has been hired as an assistant coach in a position financed by the Hal Nunnally Endowed Fund for men’s basketball.
“We are excited to welcome Bradley Jacks to the Randolph-Macon family,” Merkel said. “He understands winning and what it takes at the highest levels, having played for two great mentors in Steve Turner at Gonzaga and Stephen Brennan at Babson. His playing career speaks for itself and our players will benefit from his experience and his attention to player development.”
A native of Fort Washington, Md., Jacks was a three-time captain and was twice named all-conference for the Beavers. The power forward helped Babson capture a pair of NEWMAC Championships (2015, 2016) and receive three NCAA Tournament bids (2015, 2016, 2017). The Beavers reached the Final Four in 2015 and won the program’s first national championship in 2017. Jacks averaged 15.2 points and 5.6 rebounds per game as a senior. He shot more than 52% from the floor and nearly 80% from the free throw line during his senior campaign. Jacks amassed more than 1,100 points and 500 rebounds during his career at Babson.

A two-time captain at Gonzaga College High School in Washington, D.C., Jacks was an honorable mention selection for the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference. He was a McDonald’s All-American nominee and helped the Eagles earn a Top 25 spot in the ESPN FAB 50 rankings.
Jacks earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Babson this past May with a concentration in Marketing. He was a recipient of the Student Diversity Leadership Scholarship.
