BREAKING: Carson Harris Resigns as Head Basketball Coach at Marian University (IN)

Carson Harris has resigned as Marian’s head men’s basketball coach effective at the end of the 2016-17 season. Harris spent two seasons at the helm of the program.

“Marian athletics would like to thank Carson Harris for his work with our student-athletes, which should be celebrated,” said athletic director Steve Downing. “We wish him and his family nothing but the best. Decisions like this are difficult, but at this time we feel that going in a different direction is the best decision for the Marian University men’s basketball program.”

Harris had spent five seasons as an assistant at Evansville before being named the head coach at Marian in March 2015. He was awarded the HoopDirt.com NAIA Coach of the Week in week 5 of the 2015-16 college basketball season.

Harris has a 31-27 overall record and is 10-23 in the Crossroads League during his two seasons with the Knights.
