Mike Davis has been fired as the head coach at Alabama-Birmingham. Davis was informed of the decision in a meeting with AD Brian Mackin this morning. UAB is planning having a press conference at some point this afternoon to discuss the firing. Davis will be paid the $625,000 that he is owed for the remaining year on his contract.
