We are hearing that Whitworth head coach Jim Hayford will be named the next head coach at Eastern Washington. Hayford would replace Kirk Earlywine, who was fired earlier this month after going 42-78 in four seasons as the Eagles head coach. In his 10 years at Whitworth, Hayford went 217-57 and led the Pirates to eight 20-win seasons. Word is an official announcement will be made tomorrow.
