According a source close to the situation, Florida A&M University is going to hire Clem Johnson as their basketball coach. An announcement may be made as early as today. Johnson is currently the head coach at University of Alaska-Fairbanks. He played at FAMU 1974-1978 and was a second round pick in the 1978 draft (Portland). He played 761 games for four teams in his career. I’ve also heard that Johnson will keep assistant Tony Sheals on staff and is planning on adding his son Clemon as an assistant.
