Following his arrest yesterday for OWI, IUPUI head coach Jason Gardner has resigned.
According to the Indianapolis Star, Gardner resigned from his post at IUPUI Tuesday, Assistant Athletic Director Ed Holdaway confirmed. Holdaway said it was a mutual decision between Gardner and the university, adding “we certainly wish him the best.”
Gardner was former standout at Arizona, and the 1999 Indiana Mr. Basketball Award winner. He finishes his five seasons as the head coach of the Jaguars with a 64-94 record.
