According to a report by the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Memphis’ Josh Pastner will be hired as the new head basketball coach at Georgia Tech. According to the report, Pastner needs to clear two more hurdles, which would appear formalities at this point – a face-to-face meeting with school president G.P. “Bud” Peterson and approval from the athletic association’s board, a group of faculty, alumni and students. A 3:30 p.m. Friday news conference has been planned.
