HoopDirt.com can confirm an ESPN report that LIU Brooklyn has released head basketball coach Jack Perri. This move comes on the heels of a 20-win season for LIU, and the third straight season where Perri’s Blackbirds have improved their record. The former assistant to Jim Ferry at LIU, Perri finishes his five-year stint at the school with a 77-79 record. An official announcement is expected later this afternoon.
