BREAKING: Utah Valley to hire Mark Pope

Utah Valley will name BYU assistant Mark Pope as their new head coach at a press conference on Tuesday. This was first reported today by CBSSports.com. Pope has been an assistant at BYU for the past four seasons. The former Kentucky center played in the NBA for the Indiana Pacers, Milwaukee Bucks, New York Knicks and Denver Nuggets. Before coming to BYU, he had been an assistant at Wake Forest, and also spent one season as the DBO at Georgia. The press conference is scheduled for 1:30 (MT) tomorrow.
