Brian Bess has retired as the head men’s basketball coach at Three Rivers College. Bess just wrapped up his 31st year as a Physical Education Professor and 4th year as Athletic Director/Head Men’s Basketball Coach at TRC. Back in 2020, Bess took over the men’s basketball program following the retirement of his father Gene, who had been at the helm since 1970.
Bess told the Daily American Republic, “I’ve been doing this, as my wife said, all my life. This is probably all I know,” Bess said. “I’ve tried to be an ambassador or promoter and a friend of the program for Three Rivers men’s basketball, and all of (TRC) athletics, because I care about Three Rivers a lot. It means a lot to me.”
TRC finished 14-18 (5-9) last season.
